PSP2 Graphics: Expecting Too Much?

PSP2 will have HD Graphics (PSP2 = PS3) 19 15.57%

I've been looking through many threads discussing the PSP2 vs 3DS, and I've noticed that whenever somebody mentions the graphics, people claim they are amazing, but that the PSP2 will blow them away...

If the 3DS's graphics are similar to the Wii/GC, then in order for the PSP2 to "Blow it Away" wouldn't the PSP2 have to have HD graphics like that of the PS3? And if that was true (If even possible) wouldn't it run you even more money than the PS3 because of the fact of all the power having to be condensed down into a handheld?

In other words, are people expecting too much in terms of graphics from te PSP2? Will it have some other main selling point? Will a PSP2 ever truly exist? I ask you.....

Expecting a PSP2 at all may be expecting too much at this point.

PSP2 is a really risky choice considering the huge success of the DS and the support the 3DS has.

if PSP2 is comming, it must not replicate the 3DS but can mimick ideas from the Ipod touch or IPhone to offer somethihng different. Not just graphics, but a new set of features

i saw in the Digital Foundry blog,that 3DS graphics are on the level of dreamcast

it wont be difficult that if ever exist psp2 to surpass it



Use power for the right things. At least for the things that you believe in.

I doubt it. The PSP already bests the Dreamcast in many areas, and the 3ds should be a decent amount better than the PSP, from what we've seen so far.

And remember it is a small screen aswell so imagine how good the games will look.

After seeing how 'OMFG Awesome Graphics' the 3DS has, the PSP2 will surely be on par with the 3DS at least.

That makes me think the 3DS isnt more powerful than the Wii, or toher last gen consoles, as some claim. The games look nice, but its on a higher res screen, and a relativly small screen at that. The two combinations could easily make the games appear better looking, but i doubt the core power of the system to be very impressive from a home console standpoint.
