Took delivery of my tin today (US gets a briefcase!!).

Huge amount of stuff as any fan will surley know and it does not dissapoint!!

Picture quality of all versions is supurb, excluding workprint which is still very good.

And if the FIVE versions of the film are not enough for you then hit 'play all' on the deleted/alternate scenes and you effectively get a new 45min version of the film.

Some very interesting footage/dialogue in this section including both Gaff and Rachael hinting/confirming Deckard is a replicant.

There must be some avid Blade Runner fans here so please comment.

 Not really suprising, since it's covered briefly in the directors cut version of the movie and gets its own section in the book blade runner was bassed on.


I just viewed the collection on amazon, I might have to add it to my christmas list.

 I must admit I'm kind of dissapointed with that. I think the film works better with Deckard not being a replicant. Oh well. It's still an awesome film.

 Not in UK!! At least no 5 Disc version in HD yet.  Final Cut is the only version available in HD here.  I expect HD versions will be available next year.

It would be a great experience to watch this movie in HD. Hope they really tried hard with remastered edition. Getting Blu-Ray Collectors Editon as soon as hit stores !

 They have so don't worry!  Picture and sound on ALL versions has been done really well.

 

Final Cut picture has been regraded, sound mix re-done all using original elements no George Lucas bastardisation.  Special effects work has also been cleaned up, again not redone or replaced by CG but graded to fit in with colour pallete of the picture.

There is CG work with Zora running through the glass, Deckards mouth and the Dove scene to name a few (there are many others) but they are all continuity corrections and you will have to be a geek to spot them all.
