While I understand your point, it isn't that hard to purchase a USB bus.

It's really a non-issue. Battery life on all the Dualshock / Controller peripherals is superb. It's not a total pain in the ass like running on AA batteries can be. Searching high and low across the house for a spare set of expensive batteries. I love not having the need for batteries. You can charge all of your stuff when you AREN'T using your system or plug them into one of several other USB port devices. It's actually less of a pain in the ass than having to run out to the store at Midnight because you just used your last set of batteries.

Thats Ace.
ok, seeing that all arguments already have been stated let's discuss why Squil began this discussion ..
I think he has been brainwashed into it by this video:

Battery, Battery, Battery :)

Blankets are ok, but they slip and slide.
And when you want to reach for something, they're trapped inside!
Pressing those buttons, and recharging those controllers too much of a hassle?
Well then get [CENSORED]! Where you become the controller!
I think most here can't understand Squilliam, because they are gamers. However Sony tries to reach for new groups of people (non-gamers) with the move. And belive it or not some of these people don't know what an USB-Port is. But they know what a battery or a rechargeable battery is. Because batteries are already established. The voltaic pile, which is the first electric battery, was invented in 1800.

I'm not exactly sure what you are saying isn't true? I mean if you're playing for 20 hours straight, then sure you can just plug in your spare controllers. But in most cases it's easier to simply use a hub and not worry about scheduling your play time around charging. As for the eye, I guess if you're playing with multiple move controllers, and are playing for so long that you need to have spares, then you can't unplug it. But that just brings me back to my point that a hub is easier. Nobody seems to complain about needing either spare batteries or a charging station for their Wii/360. |
Sorry, that was pretty vague, I'll admit. I deleted from the bit I quoted what I wasn't responding to - if I owned move I would likely want to charge and play at the same time. I like that with My Wii I can have 8 batteries in use and 4 on charge, if I needed more on charge I would buy a 2nd charger because they are free with batteries in Aus anyway
I'm not complaining about the move btw, I've stated already in this thread that it is a pretty silly complaint

AA or AAA are the best. You won't have to worry about battery dying on you and having to replace the whole piece of hardware. You just throw away the batteries.
Assuming the hardware outlast the batteries, of course.
