yeah i saw that RAGE its got racing in it too

it sure does have detail i think it needs 2 disks for the 360 its rated teen and coming next yr though

crysis 2 still looks good enough to possibly take best graphix for 2010 next yr everything changes with KZ3 and possibly Uncharted 3

This is ubelieveable. KZ 3 doesnt touch Crysis 2. Look at this at E3. If KZ3 had half of what Crysis 2 has at any one time it would be close. Crysis 2 has so much awesome.

KZ3 showed small areas. And a couple of onscreen enemies. Still very enclosed. Combat is tight to you. 

Rage was nice. Definately up there. Reach had much bigger environments, fog effects and draw distance. And the amount of enemies on the ground and sky was awesome. 

Crysis 2 just has the 'whole' package. 

KZ3 so called destruction looked very weak next to Crysis 2 at E3.


really? The damage was  weak? You destroyed an entire oil rig.. and you moved like half a mile from oil rig to oil right in the middle of an arctic ocean with raging waves (by the way most realistic waves ive ever seen in a gaem) with breaking ice, and you are in a jet pack flying up and down with dozens if not nearly hundreds of enemies all over the rigs shooting at you during the chopper section.. I saw KZ3, I know what went through, and I also saw CRYSIS 2.

RAGE was more than nice.. maybe it was the fact it wasn't HD on my tv or something, because what I saw literally looked like a NEX GEN game

i was not impressed with the GamePlay at E3. These Screens make it Look good though.

Speaking of KZ3, KZ3 was Insane, Jumping From glacier to glacier the ocean And The Scale/Graphics of The World Was Amazing. Best i have seen From e3.

have not seen Rage yet.

Choppeer section. On rails. Gears 2 had like 100 enemies on rails sections.

The waves were great. But just look at the playable area. It's tiny. OK so yopu jump from platform to platform. Illusion of being big. When you get to the other side. The area is a small fight area. Just like the first small enclosed area. 

Compared to the 40 or 50 enemies Reach had. And the firefight video showing even more impressive huge playable scale it's a different ballgame.

Look at this play area.

See following for insane action onscreen and huge playable areas. Not just backgrounds to look good. But fully modeled so the player can use it.

Hate to say it, but Selnor is right on this one. Crysis 2 is the new graphics king, console or otherwise.

I'm not trying to make it look bad. It's playable areas are far smaller than Halo's or Crysis 2's. 

It's backgrounds only have to be modeled for art purposes and not use. Most of Reach and Crysis 2 can be got to and played in. KZ3 was not like that at E3. The parts where fighting did happen, were to a small number of enemies and small areas. Even if the part with the water was open. It was aesthetical.

Crysis 2 has everything in realtime. Destruction, lighting. bullet ray traces. You name it the effects are there. And it's fully 3d on release on 360 and PS3. 2 different ballparks imo. I thought Gears 3 and KZ3 were on a run down from games like Brink, Rage, Crysis 2 and Bulletstorm. They were close, but no cigar. Reach was far better than anyone imagined. It's so huge. And so much onscreen, it is doing stuff other FPS's aren't.



Really. We have seen console footage billion times already but only couple of secs from PC version (facial animations..looked awesome). Where in the hell is footage from PC version ? I want to see what new DX11 cards can do !



Knowing Crytek, two things are certain; it won't look anything like that when I play it on my PC or before they release a slew of texture fixes and patches and last and most importantly, the game will probably be incredibly boring.
