What did you guys think? Did the PSP or the 3DS come out on top? Sony focused a good bit of its time on the PSP, and Nintendo was very proud to unveil its new handheld.

For the games shown, who do you think won?

I'm gonna cast my vote for the 3DS, because it got a new MGS game announced for it, plus, it's 3D, and an entirely new system, while the PSP is winding down.

Do you think the PSP2 will have glassesless 3D?

To be honest, the lack of PSP2 really surprised me. I mean, after 3DS was revealed, I thought it was just Nintendo trying to be the first company to announce their handheld. And now PSP2 is nowhere to be seen, not even a whisper.

Heck, not even a pricecut for the current one. I just find it rather odd...

Really?  I love my PSP and all but who could vote PSP?

PSP2 will not have glassesless 3D.  I think Sony is going to go a different route with PSP2.  It will probably be a Droidbased Phone/gaming console.  Sony needs to integrate this into more of its company (SonyEri) .

Really I guess the reason they haven't announced a PSP 2 is maybe they were waiting to see what Nintendo did.  Try and play it like that.  I know PSP 2 will probably have more hardware capabilities and functions but not sure if they'll go a 3D route.  Either way I don't think it is a good way to compete with 3DS nor a good way to compete with the iPhone.  So really don't know what Sony is doing here.

I think you would have to be crazy to vote for the PSP.  PSP is on it's way out (not that it was ever really in), and I'm guessing Sony is waiting until TGS to reveal the PSP2.

I wondered that myself. Sony put that new ad campaign out about the PSP, but they didn't really focus on it. Maybe they will announce it next year, but I don't know if I would let the 3DS get too much of a head start on the market.

I think they HAVE to make their next handheld in 3D without glasses, or they will be looked down upon. Even the core PSP gamers I've talked too have liked the "idea" of the 3DS, with those kinds of graphics it has.

Lol was it really a battle? Brand new system, bunch of exclusives and secret games? 3D? I honestly dont see how anyone could say the 3ds didn't win. I could see if the PSP2 had been announced and them in battle but come on...

The 3DS has the PSP in a chokehold and isn't letting go anytime soon from what I've seen. This is one of the best launch lineups any console or handheld has ever had. Tbh though, I think even the DS had a better show than the PSP.

You will see the glassesless 3D screen in a lot of Android phones in the near future so that wouldn't have to be the reason Sony won't incoperate it in the PSP2. But I agree for the PSP2 to stand out they have to do something different with it, because honestly if they only added a 3D screen, touchscreen and better hardware I think they might as well give up.
