Forums - Nintendo Discussion - 3DS movies...

I saw that Nintendo will in fact be offering 3D movies on their new handheld. Will this be by means of cartridge, download, or what?

Around the Network

Probably both.

I'm sure they will start a movie download service and will probably read most video codecs so you could put it on a SD card if you wanted as well. Keep in mind that you can already buy cartoons and whatnot for the GBA or DS. So, this is really just an extension of that.

So they may approach it from a few different avenues then. I didn't think the movies would be a big deal when first hearing about it. The more I do think about it however, I like the idea, because the 3D glasses being introduced on these televisions soon just oozes cash grab for upgrading to those without the glasses later on. I know the technology has been feasible for at least a couple of years now. I do want it mostly for the games, however I can't lie, ever since I got the Netflix disk for the Wii I watch something on it every day.

What i really want to know is how Nintendo will impliment this feature. You'd think there will be some new and impressive online system to support features like this, assunming movies will be downloadable.
