still waiting to be proven wrong on any post. All I've gotten is people insisting that his hand is moving in one direction, when it moves in 2 directions, left, then right. People seem to be skipping the movement of his hand on his thigh moving left before he lifts it up to the right. It seems to be a misunderstanding but everything that was shown on stage was pre-recorded, and there are numerous threads and gifs showing just that. MS will even admit it soon.

Sure, the video was probably pre-recorded.  Does it matter when the tech works as demonstrated?

I wrote earlier that it's kind of disingenous to do that at the conference. A lot of people agree. It's like lip-syncing.

I guess they wanted to avoid the disaster that was called Zelda. I really hope that it didn't malfunction that badly because of cell phone interference, because everyone has a cell phone.

Yeah, I don't know what happened with that, but kinda makes me scared to be in a plane considering where the bow and arrow kept pointing, planes have the same problem with cell phones. eek

I understand wanting to avoid those types of things, but that's part of the show. Otherwise you are just manipulating the audience.

Acceleration and braking is 100% automated.  In addition, the game also assists your steering in the corners.  I'm guessing it is to make up for the lag.  If I was there, I would have tried not moving my hands at all and see just how much the game assists you.

Which is fine when the audience wants to be just entertained. Much less when the audience is also trying to extract actual information from what you show...

but thats just it,  you nailed it there.. I thought kinect was for the casual crowd.. adding kinect to forza just adds to  a sim racing game a casual play through..

pretty sure when forza 3.5 or whatever its gonna be called comes out it will also support standard controller, driving wheel and kinect.. cause even when I do get kinect I would not use it to play the next forza.

I'd be more interested to see how it works on the show floor, where we know it's real, rather than worrying about whether it's real or fake on stage. We've already seen with the new Zelda game that the on-stage performance isn't always a good indication of its actual performance.
