Forums - Nintendo Discussion - put Wii Sports on tonight for first time in months

The wife had friends over from Sweden and they were here so we put Wii Sports on, haven't played this for months and gotta say I forgot just how good it is.  Just seeing all the old Mii Avatars of guests I've had over last year standing in the background on the bowling brough a smile to my face.

Dont know whats worse though that feeling you get when you play tennis and finally love it again but you have to dumb down cos your playing against someone whose never played before or when 2 of her friends turned round and said to me "can you get me one of these if we leave you the money"

Forget SMG tomorrow - that can wait till Sunday, I've got a day booked with Wii Sports.

Those people that think they're perfect give a bad reputation to us who are...

"With the DS, it's fair to say that Nintendo stepped out of the technical race and went for a feature differentiation with the touch screen, but I fear that it won't have a lasting impact beyond that of a gimmick - so the long-lasting appeal of the platform is at peril as a direct result of that." - Phil Harrison, Sony

Wii Sports is pretty addictive. Hell I still have to get in weekly bowling and tennis matches haha. Not to mention its an amazing party game. That's really the great thing about the Wii. It's really seemed to revitalize gaming with friends over. I mean online gaming is great, but still there is nothing better than playing a few rounds with your friends. *thinks of the numerous matches of SSB, SSBM, and Goldeneye 007 with friends of old*

Hah me and my mates always used to play WarioWare (GC) in the mornings after house parties. It turned into a routine, that was before the Wii though and we've all moved away to Universities =(

I bet one of my relatives will have a Wii come christmas that will be pretty fun when the family comes together.

The way they loved it from the start - they went nightclubbing and the wife sent a text saying the clubs crap and everyone wants to come back to play the Wii again, this just reminded me of how people will still buy this next year as people get these and play with friends and family over xmas.

Obviously already knew this but when you've had the system for a year you forget

Y'know, that's kinda funny. i had ordered those free Wii jackets that Nintendo.com was offering and figured i'd play a round of Wii sports to see how well it worked. I ended up bringing a rookie character I created up to pro level on tennis and boxing, won a round of baseball and got an average score at bowling.

i really wasn't expecting to have that much fun with the game at that point. Though it's been a while since I've played anything at all. mostly due to lack of funds. Every month a new game gets added to the list.

Seppukuties is like LBP Lite, on crack. Play it already!

Currently wrapped up in: Half Life, Portal, and User Created Source Mods
Games I want: (Wii)Mario Kart, Okami, Bully, Conduit,  No More Heroes 2 (GC) Eternal Darkness, Killer7, (PS2) Ico, God of War1&2, Legacy of Kain: SR2&Defiance

My Prediction: Wii will be achieve 48% market share by the end of 2008, and will achieve 50% by the end of june of 09. Prediction Failed.

Much as I love Wii Sports I ain't played it for a few months now and don't think I'm ever going to play it again. Ain't had time to finish Galaxy, Metroid Prime 3 and I just got Umbrella Chronicles. And when next we have guests over I think we'll be playing Mario & Sonic at the Olympics rather than Wii Sports.

Wii is readily available in Sweden. Selling great now, but with decent supply.

is it really Stranne? thats really interesting because not only do they want a Wii but the wifes boss wants one for her kids and as the wife is Swedish then I assume we could get her brothers or parents to collect one and bring it over when they visit in December

mmm Interesting

And remember, when they buy this in Sweden, they will likely turn 5 other families onto it as well. Though I'm not really playing it at all these days, it is a powerful system seller when someone new gets it for the first time. They tell everyone about it, and show it to all thier friends.

BAM! There it is!

Wii Code 3456 7941 4060 2924
COD MW Reflex 541192229709

Yes, Wii Sports just never get old if you don't play it like a freak.
