What's your opinion on the vuvuzelas?

They're horrible, they should be banned 44 53.66%

Now, we've all watched the first match, now that you have first-hand experience, what's your opinion on the highly controversial vuvuzela? For me, personally, they made sometimes the match a pain, I got a bit accustomed in the 2nd half, but there were times they were ear-piercing. It would be better for me if the FIFA just banned them, it'd make the WC more enjoyable. What about you?

 

For those who don't know what a vuvuzela is, a picture is worth more than a thousand words

Multiply that by 60 thousand

Well the africans like it I guess. One is intitled to his own culture, but really, for me...I'd prefer them to cease to exist.

It sounds like a fly buzzing in your ear, and it's incredibly annoying. What ever happened to just cheering, or even playing a horn or something? I swear...

That thing's not only annoying, it can cause you permanent ear damage. A Vuvuzela honk can go up to 127 decibels. Any prolonged exposure to that sound can damage your hearing. 

As for what I think about them....let's just say that I would personally take each Vuvuzela around the world, melt them, and create a giant meteorite to destroy the house of their creator, and everything around them.

I have no idea why Africans think that Vuvuzelas improve the atmosphere, to me they destroy any kind of atmosphere with that constant monotone sound..  I think in some regions of the world sth. like that is used as a method of torture.

The South Koreans singing "Ode an die Freude"(Ode To Joy) and their national anthem, THAT was cool.
