Because America is only interested in sports that America is known for being #1 at.  Football, baseball, basketball.  And american mentality is American sports > other sports lol.



Soccer is for kids here.

Well, I clicked on the link and I must say I don't agree with any of those high-brow generalizations.  My theory is that, as a kid, you only need a little space and some friends to play football.  You only need a ball and a hoop to play basketball.  You only need a ball and a bat and a few friends to play baseball.  Who the hell carries around two soccer goals?  The only guy I knew that did that was Soccerball Larry and we always made fun of him for being retarded.



I don't like sports. Is that a good enough reason? :D



It's plenty popular with kids. They just outgrow it (as everyone should).

You don't need goals for football (soccer), you just need some jumpers or bags!
