Actually the "too hard for wii owners" was apparently a joke by a neogaffer and not part of the actual review.

I am a PC gamer, and also have a NDS now, but without access to a Nintendo Wii until End of 2007.

Currently playing: Super Smash Brothers Brawl(Wii), Mystery Dungeon: Shiren the Wanderer(DS), Dragon Quest Heroes: Rocket Slime (DS), WiiFit(Wii)

Games Recently Beaten: Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: My Life as a King (Normal; Very Hard after the next DLCs become available)

1 word: RTFA

Not my type of game at all. Every time I see something new, I've been less and less excited, and now I can say with complete confidence that this is a non purchase for me.

Just my opinion, obviously -- everyone else can disagree :p

Now see this is where you and I differ.  I agree that overly gorey games do not = mature, but I believe that it can still be used as a valid art style wheras you seem to refuse it completely.

It's like Kill Bill.  The gore and blood is being used for humor, satire, and parody, and I think it's absolutely brilliant.  This game is overflowing with style.

I love the art style. The absolute fakeness of it means it isn't nearly as off putting as say Manhunt as far as gore goes.

My only worry is how it controls as it actually looks a bit stiff and repetitive in those videos but according to IGN it controls nicely so this game looks good =P

I've got a couple things to say to this

I LOVE the save game "censoring"

the style and art quality look so nice. It's like what people say about WoW, it may not have the most technically superior graphical style, but its art direction makes up for it 100x over.

The blood and gore is definitely over the top to the point of being silly, it would be kinda neat if we could have some sort of optional parental settings that got rid of the blood and replaced the cusswords with alternate words "[fork] you!" "you [frog king] [apple]!" "What a [witch]" "If i become #1, will you [give me a cookie]?"

also KITTY!!!!

Seppukuties is like LBP Lite, on crack. Play it already!

Currently wrapped up in: Half Life, Portal, and User Created Source Mods
Games I want: (Wii)Mario Kart, Okami, Bully, Conduit,  No More Heroes 2 (GC) Eternal Darkness, Killer7, (PS2) Ico, God of War1&2, Legacy of Kain: SR2&Defiance

My Prediction: Wii will be achieve 48% market share by the end of 2008, and will achieve 50% by the end of june of 09. Prediction Failed.

Famitsu's review states that the game is too hard for 'Wii owners' as one of the negatives.

8899 still very good. Can't wait.

So many good games coming out in February. Hell, Brawl may cannibalize all other Wii game sales.

Update: Turns out, the translation was a joke from a NGAF poster.

Also, IGN has already played No More Heroes. They are starting a week-long exclusive feature on Monday.

  • Combat/Motion controls are great. Work amazingly well.
  • While it looks open-world/sandboxy, it really isn't- Not much to do.
  • Game is wacky/insane/hilarious
  • Grasshoper is known for their art-style, not their technical prowess. They don't push hardware. Game still looks very good, though.
  • Few Pop-Ups, Framerate issues. You hardly notice because of the feel of the game.
  • Launching No More Heroes next to Smash is dumb, Ubisoft. Delay/Early Launch. They already have a final build.

even gonintendo has played and they said they love it

hmm well I'm buying a copy of this game the day it comes out,
seriously it looks like some weird wild stuff

I HAVE A DOUBLE DRAGON CAB IN MY KITCHEN!!!!!!

NOW A PUNISHER CAB!!!!!!!!!!!!!
