I took the original neogaf post here

so I decided to update it with the new microsoft and sony reports. Now remember, these numbers concern only the fiscal years and the gaming divisions

I don't know if no one cares. I know that I don't. Just makes me laugh for the state of the industry. I laugh because they brought it onto themselves.

Interesting, though Sony should be able to bring it around next year

Another question is precisely what these are for, is this M$'s EAD and Sony's PlayStation, because I know they have both been restructuring



In the red is a relative term.

For both companies, all those losses are now sunk costs, already reflected in the share prices, and simultaneously never to be reflected in them again. 

Currently, only Sony's gaming is in the red, and that is rumoured to have changed recently as well.

I am not arguing either company employed good business sense from the get go, just that at this moment, your thread title is incorrect.

how is microsoft in the red?? i see no red in their current numbers :/

and the Sony numbers aren't up to 2010, what gives??
