Well, since Germany still has one game to play, he can still snatch it away from Ronaldo if he scores two goals.

It's going to be an interesting duel between Villa and Sneider in the final, to see who holds the top goal scorer crown.

And if Sneider manages to do it, it may also be historic. Can anyone confirm when was the last time a midfield player won the top goal scorer crown in a WC?

Quick research and it was on 1962... but then again there were 6 top scorers with only 4 goals each.

Tough job for Sneijder. I remember Rivaldo from 2002 scoring 5 goals too, maybe that's a record for midfielders.

freken crappy match...

both teams seemed afraid to attack the whole game... the german goalkeeper recieved more passes than the playmaker...

and those last 15 mins... hey let's pass the ball until we lose it and not take advantage of our 3M tall forwards... Germany chocked, and it was ugly.

Spain still disapointing since the begining of the WC... and why is villa in the center... he did marvels on the side, and only scored against paraguay because of a post ball comming to him. Meh let him be at the center, i'm for netherlands in the finals..

 

(it'll be ironic that the country of origin of the afrikaneers win the world cup in south africa...)
