Forums - Sales Discussion - Am I the only one who thinks d double jump in God of War looks ridiculous?

i thinki of it as his feet kick so hard down it compressed the molecules in the air so dramatically that it becomes a solid surface.

In DMC1, Dante creates a demon platform out of thin air and uses it as a boosting off point. Bayonetta has angel wings. I always thought the jumping in GoW looked goofy. That was my very first impression of GoW1 when it released.

I don't need your console war.
It feeds the rich while it buries the poor.
You're power hungry, spinnin' stories, and bein' graphics whores.
I don't need your console war.

NO NO, NO NO NO.

Doesn't super mario galaxy 2 have triple jumps? And anyway double jumping is fine.

I think it's kind of different. They call it a triple jump because he hits the ground three times, every time gaining more impulse, like a gymnast.

I would have never imagined that Mario is more realistic than GOW...

lol

1   2   3  not only you and me.

Livin' in sin is the new thing.

what a failure of a troll.

Samus does a flip making the second jump look realistic.

looks okay to me....

since when games are supposed to be realistic anyway... LOL

My two gripes with his animation would be:

a) the double jump, but then I've never really liked this mechanic in general

b) his walking animation - which is basically his running animation... but slower (although I guess you could argue Kratos simply doesn't do gentle strolls)

Overall the animation in GoW and GoW3 in particular is great - but those two aspects of Kratos have always been a little "off" in my view.

So I agree.

Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...

You know, I didn't even notice it.

It's a little out of place, yes, but it doesn't ruin the atmosphere or anything.

Yeah, I agree...

the series' awesomeness has made me not see this.

God of War....I still can't believe it has ended.. Yeah, there are prequels and all, but there probably won't be any progress after GoW III's ending.
