Forums - General Discussion - Anyone read any good books recently?

I have read a few really good books recently.  I've read The Hunger Games and its sequel Catcher Fire by Suzanne Collins, Incarceron by Catherine Fisher, just finished reading Catcher in the Rye with my English class, and I am now reading Leviathan by Scott Westerfeld.

Has anyone read any good books lately?

ugh i WISH i havent really been on my reading lately been too busy with school but WIthin the last few months I read the elenium and the tamuli which was a saga set in a fantasy realm

Its written by david eddings and consists of

The Elenium                          Followed by                 The Tamuli

The Diamond Throne                                                  Domes of Fire

The ruby Knight                                                            The Shining ones

The Saphire rose                                                           Hidden City

Life of Pi by Yann Martel. A neat little survival story about an Indian boy who's simultaneously Christian, Muslim, and Hindu, who gets stranded on a boat in the Pacific with a Bengal tiger.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

I'm reading Flashforward by Robert J. Sawyer and at the moment it's good and  interesting

Why don't you make like a tree and get out of here?

I'm reading The Ship of Destiny which is the 3rd and final book of The Liveship Traders by Robin Hobb. Its the best of the three books, so its looking like the trilogy will end with a bang.

I've just read two graphic novels. V For Vendetta and Kick Ass. Both were very good, especially V For Vendetta which I like just as much as Watchmen. Alan Moore is amazing.

I read the last book in the Percy Jackson & the Olympians series a few weeks ago. The whole series is humorous, entertaining, and easy to read.

I'm currently reading the second book in the Sword of Truth series, which I expect to finish in a few months, as it'll be the longest book I've ever read in all likelihood.

themanwithnoname's law: As an America's sales or NPD thread grows longer, the probabilty of the comment "America = World" [sarcasticly] being made approaches 1.

How many pages is it?

I was supposed to read To KIll A Mockingbird.

Didn't feel like it.

Have an essay about it due in two days.

Still don't feel like reading it.

And few people end the whole series but not due to it's length. The books are just way too depressing for most to cope with.
