the fact that this new design makes the site harder to navigate (split into 4, why?) and that superb features (like sorting hot topics by forums on the main page) are gone in my opinion makes this a "style over functionality" "update"

I'll give it a 2/5 now with all the new updates, WHICH SHOULD HAVE BEEN THERE BEFORE IT LAUNCHED....

I'm sorry, but when you launch a new site at least make sure it has all the feautures the old site had. It was missing almsot everything. The only site I will be visiting will be GamrConnect just because of all the great members we have here. Everythign else I could care less about. I can get news and info about games on other sites and numbers as well. The only thing I find better on 3.0 is the game collection, but that still can't be sorted how you want. Before everything was in plain view and I would click on a news article I saw. Now I'm not going out of my way to find an article when it all should be together in one place. And facebook, this is not....

Well I was prepared for something pretty bad when I unexpectedly came to that ominous "VGChartz has evolved" hub page, but....... really.

Massive video advertising banners everywhere, a cumbersome search engine, fragmented and awkward new structure, the fun comments section on the game statistics pages has been inexplicably removed. Also the new main page looks ugly, bland Gamespot clone now.

If I could give it less than 0/5, I would.

I rated it a 2/5, however the more I use the site the more I hate it and should have given it a 1/5

Sorry guys but you fucked things up royally this time. Terrible navigation, you're supposed to make things easier to access, not harder. Design priority appears to have been given to the look of the site and the organisation of data with little thought given to the user.

Edit - VGChartz has been pinned to my pinned favourites in Win7 for over a year now, today is the day it is removed.

Honestly, I hate it. The site is a mess and its become more difficult to navigate. I also hate the color white as the background color, its just too bright. I even hate the new font.

But a few tweaks and some different color schemes could actually make this website great again.

Edit: And for the record, I hate the avatar pictures have that glossy effect. Who actually wants that?

These new changes still has not grown on me. Gamrfeed is absolutely the worst (Scroll for a week just to read the 10 most recent stories? What were you guys thinking?).  I just can't bring myself to navigate this mess.

The Site is now overly complicated. What used to be simple is now much more difficult and harder to achieve. The site pretty much only works in compatability mode on IE8 which I am sure because most people are of a certain persuasion means that the numbers of people affected are a lot less than a standard site but a problem none the less.

I have basically stopped using the site because I cannot do what I used to do. I would look at the news and comment accordingly or I would look at the categorised recent comments and comment accordingly. Occasionally I would create a topic but rarely, occasionally I would look at the forum directly again rarely and occasionally I would look at the sales stats. Now everything feels its all over the place.

Style wise it is ok but it seems to be at the cost of usability. what was one click is now more which to me is a step back.

2/5 for me. Main reasons:

1. Reduced functionality of the hot forum topics box on gamrConnect (no indication of which forum each thread belongs to, no indication of total/new posts, can't get full thread title with mouseover, clicking on a thread title takes you to the very beginning of a thread--even if you've viewed that thread before).

2. Not being able to have all of the information (charts, news, hot forum topics) in once place.

3. Lack of integration between the four mini-sites (e.g., can't search for games from gamrConnect or gamrFeed).
