He was banned for the "you have to earn respect" comment - I think I've earned enough respect over the years with how I've run VGChartz to not have to put up with comments like that.

obviosly all the VGC makers have the respect but he was trying to talk about the current makeover so banning him was harsh

Many investors come to read sales data and don't want to have to go through the clutter of news posts, forum threads and comments so they'll only visit VGChartz now.

Each site has something for different people which is the whole point in splitting it up - you agreed with that yourself when you said you only want what you consider as traditional VGC features, whereas there are others out there who want different things from the site.


And the ones interested in all areas?

People found it strange... but it had very good accessability. Really good. In this version, that was completely left aside.

It's very hard to navigate and that will obviously have impact on pageviews. Mark my words on it.

I VERY MUCH dislike how everything is seperated. You can say what ever you want, but it just makes it inconvenient for everyone else going back and forth on pages instead of having everything right in front of you. And now it is almost impossible to see what threads are being posted in, sure we have a list of 10 new thread, but what good is that. I want a hot topics section with at least 20 threads and I want to know if people have posted in them/ quoted me in them like on 2.0.And now the walls and activity feed is full of people rating games/ adding game info. I very much dislike the redesign.

However, all this could be fixed IF the hub adds everything together like 2.0 did and you bring back the hot topic/ side bar for threads. Also, only add status updates and wall comments for the activity feed and wall. No updatign game info/ rating games.

Navigating the forums is absolutely horrendous compared to the last version, otherwise everything is a ok.
