Some remarks from a long time news lurker:

From top to bottom:

Profile/navigation: Nice. Slim and clean.

Logo/Menu with all/news/originals/handson/Big news ... OK, that's already a bit confusing. That other thing is a filter/menu referring to the news far below?

Follow us/big banner... confusing to put that between the top news (?) menu and news. It's big.

The latest/ Filter: All/Nintendo/Xbox/Playstation/Other... That's the second menu! Took me a while to notice the first since both are far away from each other.

News section/banner/hottest stories/search/originals/the team. Damn... News section doesn't collapse fully into headlines nor shows colors anymore. I'm having a hard time noticed what I read last and what's new this way. Hottest stories etc are all grouped, but Big News is on the top, are they related? I didn't notice the huge search bar until I started summing things up here, again, positioning...

Oh, there's also huge pictures taking up a lot of space. I don't know what they're for... *squeezes* *squeezes more*... WHOA, they're supposed to tell me what category the news posts are in and a date. Well, while the pictures are HUGE and taking up a lot of screen space it is impossible, literally impossible, to skim over the headlines that aren't just headlines and see what they are about without squeezing for a few seconds at each picture.

Then there's Prev -- Next and footer with banner. That works. Not bad at all.

On the bottom there is a repeat of all sites that were mentioned on top, but then just ... logo's. Then there's another atom/RSS, facebook and twitter thing, but small this time and oh, also the menu that was on top, what the ?? So much space used for duplication or huge 'design' things. And on top of that there are no quick charts at all? I really have to visit another page?

I've tried navigating stuff, tried reading things. I know, I should get used to it first, but I can already make a conclusion now: The news page is more cluttered and frustrating than ever and very hard, if not impossible to follow. I wasn't a fan of the old frontpage at all, but it at least had a news frame that told me more and more quickly than this whole site dedicated to news. There's a plus though: the site now renders correctly on Webkit (chrome, safari, etc) based browsers.

So I'm going to stick to this RSS feed instead. Oh sh... it doesn't work yet :(.

Yup, that's a lot of complaining, and I apologize. But not doing so would be lying on my part. Just... please put the RSS feed on the todo list and I'll be happy.
