One last thing, for the love of all that is good, let me bookemark, "VGChartz.com".  Don't force me to the f'n hub.  That sucks.

I have to agree.  We should be able to type in a URL and go to the VGChartz page directly.

I have the most epic death scene ever in VGChartz Mafia.  Thanks WordsofWisdom!

Aesthetically I think the new design looks very slick, but I'm not keen on the new homepage hub. It's fine to have news, reviews, etc. but the charts aspect should surely take centre stage and by a large margin. With each re-design it seems that the charts aspect gets slightly marginalized. Yet this is VGChartz. It's what the site is all about. It's what makes the site unique and special. It's very reason for being.

Surely the VGChartz page should be the homepage with gamrFeed, gamrReview and gamrConnect all secondary. When you type vgchartz.com and the site loads up, the first thing you see should be that console sales bar chart and you will say "Ah yes, this is what I came here for". Now the first thing you see is blog posts and reviews and barely a chart in sight and you will say "Oh, this isn't what I came here for. This is what I can get anywhere and everywhere else."

As to removing the comments section in the games drill down to make the site more professional...good lord, how does a site like this so fundmentally misunderstand what people enjoy about the internet.  Those of us that frequented that section ENJOYED the debate, argument, whatever.  We liked it.  Now, no discussion, no info, no way to discuss things.  For instance, it seems like game X had a massive adjustment upward, now I can't know if that's my bad memory, or if it's just the way it is.  Seems to me you're just covering your asses so people can't discuss the adjustments.  Again, those discussions were FUN.  It IS how many of us enjoyed the site.

Just because YOU didn't like those discussions, doesn't mean MOST of us didn't.  MOST of us liked those discussions.  They were informative, and they were enlightening, and they kept the light on your numbers.  That's a GOOD thing for your site.  If you think that hiding adjustments will make people have more faith in your site, you are very sadly mistaken.  If I cant' take those things into account, and have a disucussion with people about those things, then this site has little value.

I completely agree with this.

Trying to make the site more "professional" is fine and dandy, but remember that almost all the traffic you get is regular people, gamers, people who read the site for fun. Now the site is becoming less fun.

I like it but I'd like there to be an "all in one" page with news, reviews, sales and hot topics forum threads because all separated like this would be very time consuming for me...

my thoughts exactly

...not much time to post on here anymore, used to be some good ol times on VGchartz...

Is there a way to search the forums (without going to google). Right now the search on gamrConnect only searches users.

from the first few pages of this thread people seem to really like the new site (have not read it all), it seems I am going to be in the minority, I absolutely detest the new design, the old site was nasty and the flash regularly broke in my browser but at least everything was easy to get at and right there on the page I first open. With the new design I am finding myself not even wanting to come to the site, everything is all over the place and I really dislike the hub that you are forced to go through, as another poster said please let us at least bookmark the vgchartz.com without going through the hub.

I must agree with this, I've come to the website much less after seeing and using the new design for a short while.  I really dislike it, it has broken old threads that I use for reference, it's more of a task to navigate the site (be it forums or user profiles).  However the new post system is nice and responsive so far, so kudos for that.

Could we not have atleast the choice of seeing the forums in their old format?

One of the good things from the update, is that after 3 years, I am finally able to change my password.
