Eh. Alice was a fun movie but, TDK is one of my very favorite movies so this is actually kinda dissapointing.

Remember Alice had the advantage of extra expensive 3D IMax tickets & the avatar 3D popularity effect

Does Alice have a higher "attendance" than TDK, I don't think so.

Either way great achievement for alice

All hail the KING, Andrespetmonkey

@darthdevidem01

No aiw hasn't sold as many tickets. At least within the US. TDK sold 74 million tickets in the US and Canada. Avatar only sold 1 million more at 75 million tickets.

That goes to show just how much money they make from 3d ticket sales.

I have no data for the rest of the world. Aiw could have sold more or may no have, its too difficult to say with the differing amounts that tickets cost everywhere.

But I think its a pretty easy assertion to say that TDK sold more tickets.

But thats the whole point of 3d tickets. They make a lot more money. Not to mention Alice was in 2d aswell.

I AGREEE with you SO much!

oh, and i just realized that Johnny Depp is my favourite Actor :p

Not really that impressive, 3-D movie tickets cost alot more then regular 2-D ones, atleast were I live.

If it isn't turnbased it isn't worth playing   (mostly)

And shepherds we shall be,

For Thee, my Lord, for Thee. Power hath descended forth from Thy hand, That our feet may swiftly carry out Thy command. So we shall flow a river forth to Thee And teeming with souls shall it ever be. In Nomine Patris, et Filii, et Spiritūs Sancti. -----The Boondock Saints

A normal ticket is 12$ and for 3D it's 14$. It's not that much more here (2$).

Plus Alice was also in 2D.

Dang it. I hated the Alice in Wonderland ( to weird for my tastes).

Not 12 dollars, but $7.18. look here: http://www.natoonline.org/statisticstickets.htm

3d movies, on average cost about 14 dollars though. That's almost double the amount!

Here's the REAL list of best-selling movies: http://boxofficemojo.com/alltime/adjusted.htm?adjust_yr=1&p=.htm

Alice in Wonderland is nothing more than a kids movie.. I was fooled by Tim's promises of providing a darker take on the story and not making it feel like set pieces connected by nothing but the characters. This movie definitely did not deserve to make all this money.

Oh, and the Red Queen was the star of the film IMO. OFF WITH YOUR HEAD!!

I really don't care about what movie makes more money...if box office is a way to evaluate movie quality WiiSports is also the best game ever. (and after Avatar got #1 I can really excpect anything)
