It would've gone, if these ships would've entered Israel's territorial water, since International law allows neutrilizing engines of ships who enter such areas without being allowed to do so by the government, it is actually something that happens in places like the US, not all the time, but frequently enough, not to mention that Israeli navy forces train to preform manuvers just like that, so that they can cause as little damage as possible.

Impressive!

Well, if they could've pulled it off, and inside Israeli territory, then that does sound like a much better solution.

I don't really blame the soldiers for opening fire. They do have a right to protect themselves. I blame the guys up the chain who failed to either execute your engine plan or at least put men with appropriate training and equipment on the mission.

It's not something exclusive to the Israeli navy, too, I think that the US navy, UK, and pretty much every modern army practice such manuvers.

Bet with Dr.A.Peter.Nintendo that Super Mario Galaxy 2 won't sell 15 million copies up to six months after it's release, the winner will get Avatar control for a week and signature control for a month.

The Gaza War was the continuity of ethnic cleansing.

Typically when a people are the victims of ethnic cleansing, there is less of them than there was originally. Given that there are a million more Palestinians now than a decade ago, to call this "ethnic cleansing" is absurd.

It seems you are unaware of the mass exodus of palestinians fleeing from gaza strip and west bank. Israel pretty much destroyed all the infra-structures that palestinians had, and now the population in gaza strip and west bank have massively decreased. That definitely looks like an ethnic cleansing to me, since Israel is successfully either killing or forcing them to leave from palestinian territories.

They have a growing population, shio. Either this is the least successful attempt at ethnic cleansing in the history of mankind, or you don't know what you're talking about. I've posted here long enough to know that the latter is usually the case.

I was wrong that the population of Gaza Strip declining, however it is still much worse than ever. 45% of the population in Gaza Strip are kids of 14 years or younger!! Their parents are killed by the israeli government or die due to the extremely harsh conditions of hunger, no medical help, etc...

But hey, at least Israel is thinking of the diet of palestinians:

Israel's policy was summed up by Dov Weisglass, an adviser to Ehud Olmert, the Israeli Prime Minister, earlier this year. 'The idea is to put the Palestinians on a diet, but not to make them die of hunger,' he said. The hunger pangs are supposed to encourage the Palestinians to force Hamas to change its attitude towards Israel or force Hamas out of government.

All praise Israel, the savior of Palestine! Israeli government is always thinking about the children's future:

It's only of recent years that certain regions have started breeding like rabbits. It's like that in a number countries in the world.

Er... no. It's basic demographics. They have such a young population because they have a very high birthrate. The Palestinian Territories are ranked 31st in the world by fertility, and their age structure is very similar to other countries with a similar birthrate.

Exactly, their population is increasing at an extremely slow pace, even though they have a high fertility rate. They aren't able to live much long, or are forced to leave and live as refugees in foreign lands.
