Shouldn't this be in the Sony section going from the first two posters?

no one can kill my hype for natal. It just seems like a really amazing piece of technology and I can't wait to see what people come up with to utilize it. I hope e3 will answer everyones questions and doubts

It’s also worth noting that since this demo was produced, significant advances in both hardware and software of Natal may have improved matters, rendering my observations here moot.

This is all that anyone needs to read...

1. Games for NAtal will NOT be in existing genres. The idea is to change gaming tro move it forward. Not stay stuck in the same genres with the same limits. THINK OUTSIDE THE BOX PEOPELE.

Anyway something very important that the OP has missed is this comment. Which is from the same article.

Obviously at this conference it was not a fully up to date demo.

So considering that all they have to say badly is some juddering and sluggish menu. I am very very happy.
These are things very fixable. They even say lag is all but unoticeable and they confirm the accuracy. Very very good to here. With 4 months to release, I am now very excited and confident M$ have produced an amazing 1:1 full 3d motion device, with barely an issue.

An early well done from M$.

Well. FF_Fanatic. That backfired on you.

Next assault. FF_Fantatic resorts to the price. LOL.

Seinor,do you think this could be a game changer. I really like the concept of Natal. I really believe Natal has great potential if done right. I just hope they show more at E3.

Need to see more, but the fact that they are still showing Ricochet worries me. There are other games for this device that work, right?

Possibly. Why do I say that? I think M$ are in the same position as Sony were with PS3 at launch where NAtal is concerned. It was upto Sony to show developers how to use the Cell for example. With Natal it will be up to M$ first party studios to show what is capable of this tech for the next 2-5 years. It really can be a game changer. Whether anyone likes it or not, a controller in your hand is a detachment from the experience. M$ are exactly right in saying that. As long as M$ takes the lead, Natal will change gaming. I think Rare have been working on something good for it. Among others. We all just need to forget about what genres we have, and see what new genres open up with Natal.

makes sense.

Those bad first impressions don't surprise me at all. If MS failed to show anything exciting as games until now, I doubt they ever will...

Core games without controllers just don't work, otherwise Nintendo or Sony wouldn't have rejected this tech long ago...

No controller = no user feedback + no precision + lag

There's no way you can build anything good as core game with that. Sony tried with Eyetoy games, it didn't work that well and Natal will fail exactly for the same reasons.

The fact that some high MS execs just resigned is another bad omen for Natal too.

PS Move has a lot more potential according to first games shown. 1:1, no lag, precision, funny games and possibility to use it in standard shooters too (like a mouse)... It's basically an improved Wii HD.

It's also worth noting that on several occasions MS has said you all are getting the old version of natal and not the new and improved version, so expect everthing this guy experienced to be present when you get natal.

Also MS has not shown anything new, come on, nothing what the ps eye has not already achieved, get real!!
