They aren't "changing" it, it was never named from the start.  Natal was the project codename, they've said that from the beginning.  Their development projects are often named after places.

The funny thing is that the city is famous for its sand "waves" you can skate/surf

Natal is as much sounding like 'a womens name' as it is targeted toward women. Let's leave it like that.
