Forums - PC Discussion - Star Wars: TOR ='s EA's most expensive project yet

Good to know that I will be buying the most expensive game ever made by ea. But it is being developed by bioware so that money is going to good use. I am going to be purchasing a gaming laptop next year strictly for this game. knowing they are putting all this money into it has got me more excited to know this might be the best star wars game ever.

GOING TO SUCK, but make TONS OF CASH.
I love Bioware, but I hear more about Bioware trying to remake the original triliogy as an MMO in the Legacy periods. going to suck.

Squilliam: On Vgcharts its a commonly accepted practice to twist the bounds of plausibility in order to support your argument or agenda so I think its pretty cool that this gives me the precedent to say whatever I damn well please.

Looks amazing. Can't wait for it!

star wars for me could really be a big game!
it its EA guess it really good :)

thanks for the info

The fact that WoW is loosing some of its players to free to play MMOs, and with the China fiasco... who knows, this might be the first real MMO that makes a dent in WoW. I dont want WoW to die, but some rivalry is always good

errr:

_ costs are rising with tech... EA's time as a publisher is irrelevant.
_ it's done by a quality studio used to a good budget and big games, so it's normal that the price is high.
_ It's a costly franchise.
_ it's an MMO, so it has a longer dev time than many(beta and all are a must) and will requier continued developpment, so the budget will continue to rise.

it's not really a surprising news...

lol no chance.

KOTOR will get 1 million subscribers in the long run at best (I predict less than 500K though). WOW will keep being at least +5 million subs for years to come.

I wish WoW would die though. I hate its dominance. The other MMOs simply don't get a fair chance.

1 million seems a bit low TBH I expect at LEAST 2.5 million  possibly  5 . I mean last I herd WoW was sitting on 10 million active subscribers and growing.

Check out my hype threads: Cyberpunk, and The Witcher 3!

Too bad cost =/= quality

Hopefully the game will be good.
