New free games offer for PSPgo

Anyone registering their handheld after April 1st 2010 will get ten free full-game downloads

Sony will shortly announce a brand new incentive scheme to encourage sales of the digital-only PSPgo, MCV can exclusively reveal.

The offer will entitle anyone who registered their PSPgo after April 1st 2010 to ten full game downloads. Titles in the deal include Gran Turismo, LittleBigPlanet, 2010 FIFA World Cup and Grand Theft Auto.

The deal follows the announcement of a PSP Essentials budget software range that will see several triple-A titles available both on UMD and digitally for just £9.99.

“On PSPgo we’ve decided to innovate with that particular business model,” SCE UK sales director Mark Howsen told MCV. “Next month we’re launching a free ten game offer. And this isn’t just older titles – we’ve worked with third parties and there’s some really good core products.

“We’re using it as a method to drive the hardware as well by making the whole proposition much more appealing.

The new deal follows similar offers last year that included one free download for new PSPgo owners and a further three free downloads for anyone upgrading from an older PSP model.

MCV’s full interview with Mark Howsen will be appearing exclusively online later this week.

Holy CRAP!

its not going to sell.. doesn't matter how many games you bundle it with.. it needs a price cut..

the entry price is too high for a PSP in europe.. it should be cut in price and bundled with 2 games

mM

that's so many! some incentive to choose PSP-Go instead of PSP-3000

Wow, what the hell, I should've waited for couple of months...

Wait wait wait, so what you're telling me, is if I buy a PSP Go, and register it... I get 10 games... for free?

Is it the full 10 games I get, or a choice of one of the 10 games?

10 games!

10 high quality games at that. That's like getting a pspgo for 50 dollars (assuming the games are 20 dollars each)
