Ok, where to begin. I played this on the GameCube. Pretty sure it was just a port from the Dreamcast. Yeah, I never played it on Dreamcast, bite me.

I first played SA2 back in 2004. Maybe it was just dated or something but I couldn't find any adventure elements in the game. At all. Not one. Every course was just linear and run to the goal. Which is what Sonic games are about. But when the next stage came around and the adventure field didn't pop up, I just went, what the fuck!

Then it FORCED me to play as Tails and Knuckles and that skanky whore. And the only other choice I got was to play as their stupid emo counterparts. Now I love Tails and Knuckles as much as the next guy, and Amy wasn't that bad in the first game. But damn, why is Sonic Team making me play as all these guys? If I wanted to, I would pick them at the character select screen. But no, there isn't one.

I like Knuckles. He's pretty cool. Why is his theme some stupid rap song? On loop. Playing in the level. Over. And over. And over. And over. I never got past the Halloween themed level because I couldn't find those stupid emerald shards.

I especially don't understand how people can like this game. Seriously, the first game was so much more superior. The first Sonic Adventure was just plain badass. And then Sonic Team went and scrapped everything good in making the sequel.

These are the makings of a modern Sonic game. If you disagree and think the game is awesome, please tell me why. Because I can't figure out how anyone could like this game. And don't use the Chao Garden as a reason. We all know that the Chao Garden is vastly better than in the first game. The Chao Garden does NOT make SA2 a good game by any means.

It's not the worst Sonic game but it's where things started to go wrong for Sonic.

Hmmm, not sure if troll... but here are my reasons why I loved the game (not more than SA1, but still very good):

First reason:



If you hate Sonic games with rock music in them... I hate you.

Second reason: Shadow had one of the best deaths in gaming history. It was truly beautiful. I blame Sonic Battle for reviving him out of nowhere...

Third reason: The GameCube version had an amazingly addictive multiplayer. I played tons of it.

Fourth reason: You don't count the Chao Garden... but that's exactly one of the cool things with it! Plus, if you played the GameCube version and had Sonic Advance you could transfer your Chao and do fun things with it.

Fifth reason: Why are you complaining about the Knuckles levels? They were the same in Sonic Adventure. And the linearity? Gimme a break, same thing in Adventure 1. And about Sonic Team forcing you to play characters... So you're telling me, when you played Adventure 1, that you only played with Sonic or something?

SA2, it was mediocre but I didn't hate playing it........

Until the Knuckles Emerald fetch quests. That completely broke the game for me. Severe Tedium in videogames makes me get really anxious and sweaty after a while, I usually never feel either feeling while doing anything else. This occurs Especially at parts of extreme trial and error learning (de Blob, Splinter Cell 2, Knuckle Fetch Quest.)

I've noticed your posts here are very erratic. rarely do you have a point of a discussion and you just post stuff for the sake of creating arguments.

In any case, Sonic Adventure 2 is not the worst game ever made.

Tails and knuckles leves are somewhat dull but even they are a solid 7/10 game for when the game actually came out (2001)

The sonic levels and amazing and fun even to this day. To me, the Final Rush level alone was more exciting than any level in a any Mario game to that date...

I know I'm typically a troll. But I really don't like this game.

I like Sonic's rock music. It's plain ridiculously awesome.

Knuckles levels in SA1 didn't have shitty rap music as the bgm.

I played as all the characters in SA1, solely for the purpose of fighting Perfect Chaos.

Sonic Adventure 2 wasn't that bad...play the next gen sonic or sonic unleashed, or Shadow the Hedgehog...

That's funny, I actually think SA2 is one of the best games ever made.

I pretty much agree with all those points. Also, because the final battle scene was just epic and there was a great storyline to go along with the game. It is WAY better than any other Sonic game. SA1 comes very close though and I also liked that final boss battle as well.
