I imagine if they were going to release a slim, they wouldn't call it a "Slim" but probably the Xbox 360S or something.

I suppose the Xbox 360Slim rumors also caused the low PS3 and Wii sales....

It's just a low time of year thats all.

Uhm no, on the contrary i think for the average consumer a PS3 price cut is more likely than a ''unheard off'''360 slim. And PS3 sales are doing fine.

The thing is Microsoft is to orientated on the American market, in witch it is still doing fine. But Europe is almost as big a market these days.

If it wasn't for the UK the 360 would almost be outsold by the PS2 in others...

It does affect sales, like if not the slim rumor I was going to get another 360 last month for my new apartment in China.

Yeah i really dont think news of a possible xbox slim has been heard by consumers, so i'd say sales in other are dropping because people see the ps3 a better deal.

Maybe it's the fact that Sony was once on top of the mountain in this industry, and the fall from grace has been swift and brutal. The worst thing about being on top is the fall to the bottom, and maybe the transition from PS2 dominance to PS3 heel-dragging has had a damaging effect on the fanboy psyche, leaving them vulnerable and insecure. Maybe fanboys are suffering from a severe case of paranoid delusion, brought about by denial that the PS3 is in third place when once Sony was leading the charge.
