yes you are missing the point, the point was to post absurd things that people have posted in this forum, and then we as a community we then laugh at said post. Now qualifications for an absurd post is something that was said, that was blatantly wrong and the poster beliving whole heartedly in it. a utter FAIL as it's known, these post are funny, thus the creation of this thread.........

now what you posted wasn't absurd because it was obviously a joke, not to be taken seriously, that's what I pointed out. Now upon further speculation I came to the conclusion that the said thread was created as a paraody of another poster in these fourms who post equally as absurd (see above quotes) things ...... but believes those things to be true, and time and time again has been proven worng. which is why it deserves a spot here in the most absurd things you've ever seen posted, I'm pretty sure others would agree,

oh and don't take these post the wrong way, there are not meant to bash posters on this forum, because in reality we've all said some pretty silly and absurd things (I'm not red in vg$ for nothing lol)

To make matters worse, there were quite a few who agreed with Leo-J, and given his past history on this forum, it is easy to believe that he was dead serious, especially when he started going out of his way defending the game...perhaps we are not all thinking of the same thread???

IMHO every post making fun of infamous8 on that MGS4 thread. Even after the announcement of Rising, he was right, but they didn't (??want to??) see it.

I lost track of the absurd things that john lucas, avanish, frybread, and smashchu have said on this forum. Surely nobody could keep track of that much stupid.

The degree to which x360 fans don't understand the term exclusive is a close second.

The blind faith people had in HVS prior to the hyped launch of the conduit is third.

Whole lot of butthurt going on there me thinks. Forum rules dictate that a game that is on a PC and a gaming console is still a console exclusive. Unfortunately, many of the fans you speak of forget to add the word "console" to exclusive. However, it is quite clear what they mean because of the context in which they say it. I would say it's absurd that so many in the other camps can't seem to look at context before spouting garbage about games not being console exclusives when, per forum rules and common sense, they are. 

@coolbeans, I'm with you on the Leo J thread, I was there, it was definately a troll thread. If not, it was a joke that went too far.
