How can I save game in Red Dead Redemption?
In order to make friends one should reach out first instead of just waiting.
It will save after doing challenges or hideouts or even when you hit quit and say yes, it saves before it exits

By sleeping in any of the rooms you own (green houses on the map).
Buy pulling out your campsite (select/back, scroll to kit and select campsite) and then choosing save from the options when he's sat in front of the fire (triangle/Y to save).
