VGchartz is currently my tied favorite gaming site. The other being Destructiod, where I visit regulary for rumours and news on games etc. Here I come as I like to read the forums and varied discussions going on... though I have been turned off a tad lately by all those 'interactive advertisments' that have appeared >.>

I'm listening to a youtube video while reading on VGChartz when I get bombarded by TWO talking advertisements at once!! WTF!?!

the sites alright but your freedom of speech is very limited to me that takes away from what people are actually thinking , other sites let you rant and say what you want and people still get along id say they get along better.

i personally think the mods should ease up a little actually a lot

Eh... no. I can't speak for other consoles, but that has not been my experience as a Wii owner. Again, I can't speak for other console owners, but Wii bashing in other sites does probably give those people who do it a sense of community and togetherness and so they get along better, but those that receive the bashing certainly do not feel that way.

VGchartz is the only place where I feel relatively safe from the constant adolescent level taunts. The level of troling in other sites is practically nauseating.

I feel safe on this site, dunno why I feel like I can tell my opinion honestly without being afraid of others taunting & thats important.

Maybe its because its still a relatively close knit community which makes most people know everyone else in  a good way.

And of course SALES are very very interesting, usually! lol

VGC got everything. Love the sales. Best of all the community, I love how everybody pitches in creating threads about the most recent news. Its like if you need to know the latest stuff, someone on VGC will post it and you wont need to go to any other site to find the news cause they do it for you. (Tho of course those that create those threads would need to look at other sites to find the news lol)

Pretty much it's the most mature gaming community i've seen on the internet that focuses on all aspects of gaming and it's not devoted to a single console/manufacturer/publisher/developer/game series.

The overall level of conversation and debate in here is actually pretty good, with some casual intellectual dishonesty here and there, but other than that, i've had my fair share of awesome dialogues
