Forums - Gaming Discussion - NES, SNES, Megadrive console to launch at E3!

If this is real, I will have it.

Have tons of NES/SNES games and Id love something else to play the games in (both the NES and SNES are on their last legs :( I have some Mega games too, just need to find them...

I have seen these kind of devices before. This device looks awesome but I'm worried about compatibility. I have seen plenty of other NES/SNES and NES/Genesis devices before and their compatibility isn't exactly 100%.

Also ever since 2000, I have been playing NES, SNES and Genesis games on emulator anyway and it's rare for me to run into an emulation issue. I will be dusting off the 'ol Genesis to play Pier Solar (original homebrew RPG being made by amateur developers) when it comes out. But other than for that game, I just use emulators now (along with a Dualshock gamepad. Unless it's a turn-based rpg. Then I just stick with the keyboard). Or play Sega games from Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection.

I've already got a working NES and SNES, but a nice idea either way.

These knock-off consoles have been on the market for years. I've seen similar consoles that can play either NES and SNES games together or SNES and Genesis games.  I'm surprised they're allowing them to actually show it off at E3.

Yeah I'm baffled that they are allowed to show this off at E3. E3 is organized by the ESA. And Nintendo and Sega are ESA members. Nintendo is still selling NES and SNES games on Virtual Console and Sega is selling their Genesis games on just about every platform out there (Virtual Console, XBL, PSN, Xbox 360, PS3, PSP, DS, PC) so why would they give this console knock-off company a platform to promote their product?

I could see myself getting this to play earthbound.
