OK i have thought about top 10 lists a lot and I have decided I have to have 2 top 10 lists. Single player and multiplayer, Otherwise my entire top 10 would consist of multiplayer titles.

For the intrest of a console heavy website like VGC, and not likeing most multiplayer games on consoles, Ill make this a single player list.

Single player game top 10 list

1. Fallout 3. Now as a rule I would never put a current gen game in a list like this. I feel you really can't judge a game faily untill you have had some    years with it. But i break my own rule here...=0) Hey it's frigin fallout 3!
2. X-Com UFO Defense. First game I ever bought for the PS1. Only reason I got it was because I could not afford RE. Thank god for that.
3. The Legend of Zelda. No need to say anything here.
4. GTA VC. Wow, just wow.
5. Super Mario World
6. Super Metroid
7. Age of Mythology. Not multiplayer as i play this single player most of the time.
8. Civ 3
9. The Sims
10. Phantasy Star II

Ok maybe not perfect order, but it's close.

Oh screw it gatta do multiplayer too.

Multiplayer game top 10 list

1. Diablo 2
2. Everquest 2
3. Counter Strike. And NOT source. 1.6 FTW!
4. Golden Eye
5. Everquest 1
6. River City Ransome
7. Planetside. This game was frigin uber!
8. Street Fighter 2 Turbo. The SNES version.

If you look past graphics as alot cannot do and look at exactly what this changed in the videogame industry then yes ;)

But it's the same thing over and over again. Knock enemy from below, kick it it's dead. It's fun for a half-hour or so but I vastly prefer Super Mario Bros. to Mario Bros.

Truck your arguments add weight to my complaints that certain videogamers do not realize exactly what certain games did at the time and how they transformed videogames.

What is your top 10 games of all time, not what are top 10 games that you think "changed videogame history."
