I knew them all except the guy in red (Guts from Berserk apparently):
--Gollum from Lord of the Rings the books/movies (although I wasn't totally sure it couldn't be a different crazy hobo midget)
--Darth Vader from Star Wars the movies/books
--Jessica from Who Framed Roger Rabbit? the movie
--Link from the Zelda games
--Kenshin Himura from the Ruroni Kenshin anime and I presume manga
--Superman from the Superman comics/everything

I know that they are in Green Lantern costumes (Link is the actual Green Lantern obviously), and I know a little about the different colors -- they have different weaknesses or something and possibly different abilities? I was not aware that they all had their own symbols, though I'm not surprised.

I definitely don't know "how well each character matches" their color, in fact I didn't remember anything about personality and color being connected, so I'm definitely not level 5. But I'd argue I'm into level 4.

I think the level descriptions should be taken with a grain of salt because technically you could know everything about everything ever, except for Green Lantern, and only be level 1.

orange- unyielding desperation to get what he wants- gollum

yellow-terror-darth vader

violet- love- jessica rabbit

green- courage or determination- link

red-guts- hatred

indigo- compassion- kenshin

blue - hope - superman

Combined with the fact that you, like myself, own all platforms and have that signature, you may as well become a hikkikomori and live out the rest of your life as the greatest nerd on earth.

There can be some flexibility, still you should at least get the comics connection from the costumes.

I knew the names of all the characters but that Guts guy. As for the costumes, I thought they all looked a bit too similar to the Green Lantern, but then figured I may have had them confused with like the Captain Planet team or some crap. I was way off on that one, but I've never been a big comic book guy.

I'm a level 2.5 I guess, the only one I couldn't recognise was the Roger Rabbit lady (though I couldn't name the anime guy, I knew the names of everyone else), and I knew they were dressed as the Green Lanterns, and I would have guessed that the colors had something to do with emotions. Although that was purely guesswork based on Guts wearing red.

I didn't recognize Guts (despite the fact that I own "Sword of the Berzerk: Gut's Rage") but yeah. I'm a big fan of Green Lantern, ever since "Rebirth" (and I was a huge fan when Hal became Parallax and Kyle took over for years and years). And yes. I know exactly what each color represents.

And why no "Black Lantern"?
