At my local target last week I saw the black wii on sale, so, it's definitely out.

Saw about 3 black wiis and about 9 normal ones. PS3s were all out of stock. Didn't check on 360s. Obvious anecdotal evidence of one area != sales as a whole, but, black wiis are out there, they just didn't seem to make an immediate impact.

If that's true, then Sony is beyond miserable at supplying ample PS3s. Either that or they are holding some back intentionally..

Seriously.. if they can't supply more tban 45,000 PS3s a week, they shouldn't even be selling the PS3.

They're replacing the old model with the new SKU i would have thought, so they may be having problems getting them all out seamlessly.

360 > PS3 this week, which is pretty good considering how the 360 was under 100k for the entire worldwide sales. As long as it can maintain america, it doesnt have to worry.

At all means, Red Dead Redemption should be huge next week it they count the sales, cant wait for that game.

Black Wii launches, and the Wii is down YoY? That can't be good.

Will be interesting to see if the PS3 sales really are are so "low" due to cupply constraints. Though i am having my doubts.


And will be REALLY interesting to see how Red Dead does next week!!

Like I've said all along. The Black Wii didn't do much for Eu sales either. Colors just aren't that big of a deal on home consoles (and outside of Japan ).

XB360 had the biggest WoW SW growth, but the only HW not dropping WoW was PS3?
And despite WoW SW growth, PSP HW dropped again as if it wasn't low enough?
Things are getting more and more strange...

I think I'll wait for NPD/shipments. The market isn't following the same norms as usual with various factors involved and I feel that whenever the market isn't business as usual it throws out the VGC estimates.
