Hey Listen!
i think braid is absolutely perfect, for everything it achieves and everything that the creator set out to execute its easily one of the best games ever created.
no other game really sent me on a journey to discover the truth behind the game and the mechanics and puzzles were absolutely perfectly tied in within the story.
pure brilliance

my eyes got big. yes she is hotter
ok. so i thought about this long and hard and there is know perfect games. only the best games in each genre can even come close to being called that. so my final analysis comes from two sony developers (team ICO's Fumito Ueda and Polyphony Digital's Kazunori Yamauchi) who are never saticfied with there work.
that being said. there are others that feel more can be done to there work so. i'll just let the rest fill in for me.

We're done here! |
yes. i think we are.
Yes. There have actually been 19 perfect games. The most recent was this season, Dallas Braden (Oakland A's) against the Tampa Bay Rays.
...sorry, couldn't resist being a smartass :P In terms of videogames, there is no such thing as an objectively perfect game IMO. However games can be "perfect" to individual people though, as Metroid Prime and Zelda: Ocarina of Time are perfect games to me.
As much as I try to, I can't find any flaws to Super Metroid, Super Mario Bros and The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past.
Those were indeed golden years...
