For so long, a LOT of Nintendo fans and fanboys have said "motion control is the future, it will be the future of gaming" they seemed quite proud Nintendo was the first to do this, but all of a sudden, now Sony's jumped on the bandwagon, they're getting nothing but hostitily.

i think its because a lot of nintendo fans said motion controls make wii the best, now ps3 will have it and 360 will have it, it all of a sudden deletes that argument.

What a very juvenile viewpoint.

Its no longer a mystery; others have stated it multiple times in this thread already.

The BuShA owns all!

Because they know Sony will manage to pull in all of the third parties to make 'hardcore' motion-controlled games, which is something Nintendo never managed to produce as the relationship with them isn't there.

And then Sony will have all the good games, despite Nintendo's technical lead.

This.I couldn't have said it better. Everything the Nintendo fans argued against with a lack of hardcore care will be proven when Sony does it themselves. Sony will draw the hardcore from the Wii. I don't see the move helping Sony outsell Nintendo though. It will definitely be the motion control choice for the hardcore though.

the inovation in the control's have not been proven yet

Been living under a rock since 2005?

Gaming has already changed massively with the advent of motion control. Not only have the methods of gaming changed, but whole demographics that shunned games before have now become gamers.

Natal and Move are themselves acknowledgements of the Wii's innovation.

some how i see this as being a valid arguement? wow! you two pulled me in. consider your selvies very lucky!

I really don't want to flame this thread, so I'll just keep my mouth shut =P

But yeh, one of the reasons why some Nintendo fans are mad is because Sony is like that mate that copies by you in every exam, and sometimes he even has better results than you have.

yes i have been living under a rock? so your saying sony hasn't been watching the change in innovatoin? if they weren't watching they wouldn't becoming out with these control's. i don't think natal has anything to do with nintendo's innovation. Natal eyetoy fits better. but even as a PS3 fan i can say natal might be better then eyetoy. and as a nintendo fan i can say they can't beat 1:1 tracking.

They have certainly been commercially successful, by the biggest and best games all still use standard controls. Even the heavy hitters on the wii have little motion control (Mario, zelda, smash bros, etc.)

A lot of it has to do with the fact that Sony fanboys, and indeed Sony themselves, spent 3 years bashing the Wii's controls as "fad/gimmick/lame/gay/casual/etc" but now because it has "playstation" written on it, suddenly it's "ZOMG, awesomest thing evaa!!!1one!"

This.

"Biggest" - Motion-controller Wii games like Wii Fit have outsold nearly everything on the HD twins.

"Best" - Debateable. Mario Galaxy remains a popular pick for the best game of the gen to date. (I maintain that it's motion controls were an integral and enhancing part of it)
