For those who own Alan Wake like me, what do you think?

I am a big Gears Of War fan and im scared to say if Alan Wake's visuals is better or worse. I will say that I am impressed by the way Alan Wake looks. Its visually great and it goes to show how "not dated" the Xbox 360 really is. Its easily one of the best looking games this gen visually along with all the others. But is it the best looking game youve seen on the 360? And enjoy Alan Wake everyone

now my nephew own's it, I would have to say it rank's upthere it looks very good, though Alan Wake 2 will look even better no doubt.

though i will say ME 1, an  ME 2  look better, but that's just me. i like the art style of ME 2 better. mainly because i am such a sci-fi buff.

Alan Wake can't even touch Gears. In visuals maybe but not in sales/fan base

Hell no it cant and i agree, but i only meant visually. People say Gears 2 is the Xbox's Uncharted 2. Thats why i ask. Thanks

but to me it does not need too, they are not even the same genre of game In my opinion, and I think Alan Wake is an overall better game experience than Gear's of war. but that's just me, though I would gather many would like gear's over Alan Wake , because not everyone would like Alan Wake's slow fear building pace. to me that's what make's game's like silent Hill and Alan Wake fun.

Yeah, its just such a different game in type and scope.

But yeah, I'd say as a whole it looks better than Gears 2.

I do wish there was a PC port tho ;). The 360 version looks absolutely amazing with all of its sub-HD glory, which leads me to believe that the PC version could give crysis the run for the money for PC visuals crown.

many pc only gamer's wanted that no doubt, because many were following the development of that game, because it's IDEA for game mechnic's using light was one of the best unique thing's about Alan Wake. It is sad that many PC gamer's are missing out that's for sure.

but look at it this way, $260.00 is still cheaper than some upgraded Video card's and you also get the bonus of having a Game console!

I haven't actually played the game but from what I have seen in videos and pics it looks like it edges out gears by a bit of a margin.

I think both are great looking games, but Alan Wake looks a bit better. Sure, some textures aren't perfect (you actually have to look for them though), but the way the lighting effects are presented is just awesome.

Alan Wake is the best looking game on the 360...period...the game looks amazing, and even more than looks, the animation of characters is very precise...the way they run, and move in general...WOW...game looks great, but I've got to wait to get home off trval to play it...since my wife wants to watch it as well..grrr, but I've got RDR as well.
