His character development was very interesting. He was an immense presence throughout the game, gave us surprising breakthroughs every time he showed up, and the big reveal about his identity at the end was easily, easily the best part of Resident Evil 2.

I find it almost impossible to believe that someone who claims to like oldscool REs as much as you would miss out on the puns, here.

Oh I got them, but I didn't know if you were genuine at the same time.  He is not called Mr X anyway, never has been.

Well, he really is probably my favorite antagonistic force/monster/bad guy in the series, so I was being earnest in that respect. He's just so big and goofy with his eight feet of terror wrapped up in a green trench coat, knocking down walls and choke-slamming people through computer terminals.

Really? Never? I thought it was an accepted fan name for the trenchcoat-wearing version of the T-103.

He's a Tyrant, yeah, one of a particular breed of Tyrants (there are several kinds). I just thought the individual here was referred to as Mr. X

So he's never been called Mr. X except for those times when he was

The debate about his name aside, the Tyrant always scared the hell out of me in RE2. He's big, he tears through walls and doesn't seem to wanna die. That makes him a good enemy.

That's basically why I liked him. Not many enemies in this series (may just be him and Wesker) can fall into a vat of molten iron and just get pissed off.

That's the same way I feel about Lisa Trevor

She scared the hell outta me because she wouldn't die. She's my favorite enemy.

I don't think she died when the mansion blew up. . .
