lmao yea ok, a "4 core cell" in a hand held device? the thing gonna have a tiny nuclear fusion system inside it instead of a battery? It might have a 4 core ARM based cpu...but theres no way in hell  they are going to cram a mini cell in there, power it, and dissipate the heat generated by it

actually some years ago there were reports of a 4 core mini cpu based off the cell.

they can also mean the powerVR gpu that also have 4 "cores" dont remenber how they call it.

If this is true it's brilliant! Can't wait

(i don't want to insult anyone by saying this) How is that brilliant when basically, anything that is mentionned in the first post of the thread are ideas taken from somewhere else (say Nintendo) ?

How about they prove they are an innovative corporation by bringing their own ideas ?

I'm not trolling, just bringing the facts...

Maybe they will bring back the Batarang, first prototype for the ps3 controller. (just kidding hehe, that would be a nightmare)

So is more powerful than the wii???????????????????????

LOL

OH MY GOD! A thing that might come out 5 years after a thing based on slightly improved hardware over things that came out 6 years before it is more powerful than the other thing????????????????

I'm such a Troll!

You're a terrible troll and I reported you.

OT: This doesn't sound very practical from a performance vs price or battery life perspective. All inclusive if its got a 3G connection then the only way I can see this fly is as a subsidised phone on one of those American cell phone plans.

Tease.

I wonder what the battery life will be -_-.

just upgrade the graphics and put another analog stick with a $250 price tag then i'm sold, no need for touch screen and camera's since it'll just increase the price even more.

upgrading the graphics and putting another analogue stick won't cost that much.they could put that out at under $200.

Touch screen is compulsory, even i don't like it but all the casuals and softcores like the 'cool' stuff.Camera also will be there.

So the hardcores don't like touchscreen? :-|

most don't and like to do it traditional that is with a button.

Think about the Price! I know people are excited about this but I do not think this is a move that Sony would/will make. There are too many drawbacks.

1. The Price

2. Battery Life

3. What type of media will it use?

4. The over all cost of developing games for the platform. Some developers may shy away from the platform because the PSP was not a software selling power house.

That's enough for me.

If Nintendo is successful at the moment, it’s because they are good, and I cannot blame them for that. What we should do is try to be just as good.----Laurent Benadiba

No physical media = no buy from me.

Sony could start by having two analog sticks and ditching UMD and instead using Memory Sticks as the media for games.

This would greatly improve battery life, make the handheld smaller from the get-go, and bring down the cost of games as well as the system itself.

To be honest I'm really surprised Sony would go this route after the PSP Go's weak reception. Then again, maybe they figure since no one would have the option to buy physical media the system will sell decently. I'd always rather have the option to go physical so I can buy used games/and/or sell a game that turned out not to my liking.

Main reason I bought the first PSP was because the games were so cheap (new and used market) but seeing all the sales they had for digital download on the original PSP I am a bit doubtful. I'll probably hold off on this one.

It's just that simple.

If the PSP2 is only contains downloadable games than it should have 3G at least.
