Forums - Sony Discussion - Rumor: New Tales (PS3) Game Coming & Nariki Dungeon X Release Date Incoming

Source: http://www.justpushstart.com/2010/05/17/rumor-new-tales-ps3-game-coming-nariki-dungeon-x-release-date-revealed/

There have been several rumors going on in Japan of a new Tales game in development for the PS3 and the release date of Tales of Phantasia: Nariki Dungeon X.

Namco is planning to release Tales of Phantasia: Nariki Dungeon X on PSP in 2010. Although the official release date for the theme song has been confirmed. The theme song sung by Hanako Oku “Glass Flowers” will be released on CD format on August 4th 2010. There has been suggestion that Tales of Phantasia: Nariki Dungeon X will be released a day after this but this is still unconfirmed at this time.

There has also been rumors of a proposed PS3 version of a Tales game in development. It is supposed to be currently in development to be released in March 2011 to coincide with the 15th anniversary of the first Tales of Phantasia released for the Super Nintendo in Japan. Not sure if this PS3 Tales game will be a remake or a totally new game.

Sounds BIG for PS3.

TOV on PS3 was extremely successful it was the top selling current gen tales in Japan despite being a year old port on it so I'm not surprised because that shows the fanbase is really there. Hopefully this time they will release it in the west.

It will probably be PS360 though.

what happened to Tales Of Versus?

I honestly wouldn't be surprised to see an updated version of Tales of Graces hit the PS3. Like what happened with ToV.

Then after that, the PS3 to get it's own exclusive Tales to release March 2011?

According to http://blog.playstation-cs.jp/201005/article_96.html (their source seems to be 2ch, so not anything official still):

Narikiri Dungeon/Tales of Phantasia PSP might get released the next day after the Theme song EP - 5 Aug 2010 (some bonus DVD, probably a limited edition 5,200¥).

The PS3 game to be called Tales of Unitea, aimed for release 15 Dec 2010 (15th anniversary SNES Tales of Phantasia), currently in development.

Tales of Radiant Mythology 3 (PSP) to release Jan ~ Mar 2011.

No way.. M$ and Namco are booth buddies at E3... u__u

Well they've made an exclusive Tales games for every other system except the PS3. And ironically the PS3 is the system where Tales games show the most strength in terms of sales. Didn't ToV outsell The 360, Wii, DS and PSP tales?

Black Women Are The Most Beautiful Women On The Planet.

"In video game terms, RPGs are games that involve a form of separate battles taking place with a specialized battle system and the use of a system that increases your power through a form of points.

Sure, what you say is the definition, but the connotation of RPGs is what they are in video games." - dtewi

I was wrong, it hasn't outsold Tales of on the 360 or Symphonia 2 on the Wii, but if it was released worldwide it wouldn't have to sell much to pass those.
