Forums - Gaming Discussion - What Job Do you have?

Usually the jobs that I get blow. I prefer not to talk about it, since it's a little private and I get sensative sometimes. Sometimes it sucks really bad that it hurts. I cried one time after a job. It sucked so bad that it was painful. Now don't get me wrong, I'v had great jobs before, but those never lasted long. It's really hard to last long on great jobs.

Why is it hard to last long on great jobs?

I work on the financial markets (8:30 AM - 6:00PM are thus the usual hours). I'm junior so I don't make much (I don't even spend 1/4 of it though).

I play from midnight (time my GF goes to sleep) till 4-5AM so about 30 hours a week, though that's shared with a little tv series/film watching, so more like 25 hours. So basically 1-2 games a month I could complete (strategy games and RPGs being my most played...)

So you get approximately 3 - 4 hours sleep a night??

@OP

I'm gonna be a doctor too but I DEFINITELY don't plan on stopping gaming. Maybe at University it'll be hard but after that I'll definitely game on!

All hail the KING, Andrespetmonkey

Doing a double degree in Marketing & International Trade, I'm a pizza delivery guy by night and a reception waiter on the weekend's. I make enough to finance my eating, socialising, gaming and impulsing buying.

Bet with Conegamer and AussieGecko that the PS3 will have more exclusives in 2011 than the Wii or 360... or something.

I'm a computer games programmer. I play computer games with some of the other guys here during lunch break, and I play games most evenings when I get in from work. Sometimes it's hard to keep up with gaming when we're in crunch time and not finishing till 10 pm or later. I get paid less than a nice amount but I'm hoping to change that soon.

I work as an engineer for Intel. Works good, different all the time and interesting. Get Paid approx $45K (+stock + etc) - thats at current exchange rate; would have been worth more a few weeks ago but the value of the euro has gone down.
I live near where I work so the only thing that stops me from gaming is my GF. Oh, and football (soccer), golf and the gym takes up some of my time.

This is not an exit.

I'm the Regional Manager of War...

I'm a page at the local library. I'm still in school, so I'm only working part time. I make about 8 dollars an hour, but I also get pension. During the school year, I usually make around $80 a week, but my workload triples during the summer.

Love and tolerate.

Software developer for mobile devices (iPhone, Android, Symbian, WinMo, and J2ME)

CS and Cog Psych for my majors

It's a lax job - plenty of free time to game, mostly on the weekends though.
