What games do you think receive a lot of undeserved negative feedback from the majority of gamers?

Here are my picks:

• Halo (Despite the fact I'm only a fan of the first Halo)
• Final Fantasy (Not a big fan of the series outside of VI, VII, and IV)
• Call of Duty 4 & Modern Warfare 2 (Despite my disdain towards Modern Warfare 2, the hatred it receives is ridiculous)
• Resident Evil 4 & 5
• Gears of War 1 & 2
• Crysis & Crysis Warhead
• Street Fighter IV
• Grand Theft Auto IV (Overrated by critics, underrated by the gaming community)
• Chrono Cross
• Far Cry 2

And Im sure u mean MW2 instead of COD4.

MW2 is the first game that comes to mind.

Yup, it did. Not as much as it's sequel but close. 

Both receive a lot of backlash, more so wit Modern Warfare 2. I believe backlash towards Modern Warfare 2 is a bit legit, not a terrible game however.

Every Final Fantasy after FF7, espcally FF8 & FF13

MW2, GTA4, Geow2

- Definitely Halo. I'm no Halo fan, but there's no way it deserves all that hate...

- Some casual games get a lot of hate just because they are casual games.

- Chrono Cross. Lots of people hate it because it wasn't Chrono Trigger 2.

My picks would be:

Oblivion - "filled with bugs", "flawed level system", "dumbed down", "bland world", "copy-pasted dungeons", "repetitive voices". I disagree with most of it since Oblivion is the best game of all time.

Enemy Territory: Quake Wars - I don't remember the criticism any longer but the lack of praise for this incredible objective based online shooter was disturbing to me.

Fable II - I agree it was far too easy, but people accused it of untrue stuff which pissed me off, like weak graphics and bad story.

Final Fantasy VII, a lot of people say it's overrated.

- Modern Warfare (Both Titles)
- Final Fantasy 13
- White Knight Chronicles

Hmm can't really think of anything else this generation.

I think for the majority the negative backlash holds some truth.
For example Final Fantasy 13 and linearity. White Knight Chronicles and poor story, modern warfare and killstreak.

Pretty much every big game, it just becomes cool to hate them, and it really pisses me off when people just call these games crap, and just exaggerate massively
