Listening to Weekend Confirmed episode 8 and Garnett Lee (used to be from 1up) and Brian Leahy (used to be from G4) was discussing Capcom finiancial report and the discussion lead to Capcom new strategy of giving outside developers old franchises to make. Garnett drops the bomb and says that Capcom big E3 announcement is going to test this theory. He then ends it by saying he doesn't want to spoil it. I think the bombshell is going to be that Capcom is giving an outside developer the keys to Resident Evil 6.

Is Devil May Cry 5 considered big? Because it might be it.

Honestly Capcom is probably the most over-achieving publisher out there. Every gen they have come up with new franchises and AAA games but this gen they are releasing mediocre ne IPs and milking their old franchises with sub par sequels.

The only 2 must play game I san think of coming out of capcom this gen are Dead Rising and Street Fighter 4...

So I wouldnt hold my breath for any earth shttering announcement.

I don't think Capcom would siphon off RE6 to another developer - that is their surest franchise, it works for all three manufacturers.

I agree with your views for Resident Evil but the way he said it seems that the announcement is a huge risk for Capcom.
