And i think it is possible for Nintendo to rise the production for the wii ...really possible.

So 60 millions is not impossible by the end of the year...

in software sales ps2 is nowhere near dead

Yup. And hardware wise its not lying down just yet either. PS2 had 50% of the Wiis sales in the USA this week and 70% of the Wiis sales in Europe/Others.

I notice you had to add two in excellent supply consoles together to beat one supply constrained console, interesting.

And I notice that 360's second year software sales barely beat the Wii's first year software sales, interesting considering so many say there is nothing to play one Wii

And I notice that you brought up PS2 software, but not hardware, interesting

I like how you are cherry picking your figures, it reveals your bias

Thats all very true, the point I am making is: PEOPLE CARE about the 360 and the PS3.

Hardware paints a similar picture. Both are representitive of a console that is admittedly well past its glory days, but compared to any other console - including the current generation - is still very much alive and well.

Last weeks WW hardware:

Wii Hardware  : 644,709

PS3 Hardware : 351,345
PS2 Hardware : 345,785

 My bias is towards Nintendo! I think the 360 is a very nice peice of kit and I had some great games on my original xbox. But the SNES is the greatest console ever made in my opinion (And the NES isnt too far behind).

Well a few weeks into 2008 & 60 million is looking even more ridiuclous than ever.

At the moment the Wii is selling WELL under its monthly quota of 1.8million manufactured units.

I might bring this thread up every month or so....
