Forums - Gaming Discussion - Alan Wake vs Heavy rain. Which will sell more?

Heavy Rain will win despite the game not getting a big advertising push at least on tv. That much was expected here not seeing Alan Wake commercials is a big shock maybe MS spent to much on Final Fantasy XIII

Alan Wake should sell more.. Impressive Graphics + Shooter + 360 = Success.

It surprises me that this is even a question. When they were both waiting to release I always assumed Alan Wake would sell far more than Heavy Rain. But then I always assumed it was going to get a massive marketing push which I really haven't seen anything of yet.

At the moment I guess I'll have to assume that Heavy Rain is going to win out in the end. Which means I'm really going to win my bet against Slimebeast.

Damn! I was hoping you had forgotten about that.

I honestly believe that when all is said and done, Heavy Rain will be the game I enjoyed more but Alan Wake will be the better seller (unless Red Dead steals its thunder). Quote me.

I believe heavy rain will also. I still have to pick up my copy

I sure hope Alan Wake sells more.

I'd hate to see Remedy do badly. They are way too awesome and finnish for that.

Heavy Rain... it has better reviews anyway.

it will be very close, alan wake will have about 200k opening if not less, i would say heavy rain.

Being in 3rd place never felt so good

Has there been any media advertisement for Alan Wake ? I haven't seen anything so far. I choose Heavy Rain since it was heavily advertised in EU
