O_o
I know Far Cry 2 was nothing like Far Cry but dude, it's still a FPS!

How far did you get in FF13? Because, unless you can also automatically change Paradigms (which you can't) then it's impossible for the battles to control themselves |
Figure of speech. The battles were tedious boredom.
Easiest way fro me to explain FF13 is a factory conveyor belt.Walk forward, Fight cutscene. Repeat with near no input from player. Exploration would have helped. Man it's hurting thinking I will have to do the game again on my onlione account.

Then tell us your most hated game, because if you consider Far Cry 2 as an RPG, you should make no exceptions. All (most) games have some small RPG elements.
Or you simply name a real RPG :)

Well, I do agree that linearity was way too over-used in this game, for most of it's duration. Thankfully, it opens up a lot on chapter 11, but that still didn't save it from the linear path of all the other chapters.

I have two:
Cross Edge - Just a terrible game. I consider pretty much every aspect of the game to be poor.
Star Ocean 4 - Though the gameplay was okay, everything else was embarrassingly bad... namely the dialogue.

You won't get anywhere with him in this issue. I've had that same discussion with him a couple of months ago. Pretty much, to him, every game that has RPG elements to it, be them small or insignificant, is an RPG.
