Anyone played it? What did you think of it? Personally, I'm only 80% convinced. It has potential but I think it needs a bit more (maybe it's just the demo) but there were parts that didn't work well for me like AI and how you build up your powerbar but with that said, I can see it working brilliantly online, it would be amazing.

What's everyone else's opinion on the matter?

It just needs to be cheaper, I have other games priorities at the moment. The demo was pretty neat though!

Day 1

Demo wasn't anything special for me but may still pick it up when it hits bargin bin price.

I enjoyed the demo and plan on picking it up at some point.  I prefer arcade racers over sims and haven't purchased a racer in a while.  It reminds me of Full Auto which is a good thing in my eyes.  I need to play through a few more of the titles I've got backlogged at the moment before I pick it up.  Plus with Alan Wake and Mario Galaxy 2 coming out....wait a minute, I'll probably won't be playing this game anytime soon.  But the demo was fun and I will buy it this summer.

Yeah, I was going to pre order then I realised I'd yet to platinum FF13, only tapped into SSF4 and considering getting Yakuza 3 seeing as it's listed for £15...I probably won't have a chance to play it :(

Not to derail your thread but how is SSF4?  I played the crap out of SF2 in arcades and on consoles back in the day.  I never got into SF3, but the new one looks awesome.  I'm tempted to get it but I have  reservations about the online play?  When SF2 was released on Live a few years back, I went online and started thumping people.  It was nothing but people whining about getting their ass handed to them and people quitting mid match.  People were even leaving negative feedback just because they were losing.  I haven't played the game online since.

In defence of SSF4 I've only played a tiny bit of it, HOWEVER on that tiny but I was disappointed. 1 lack of "indestructable" in the opening menu is a fail, and the new (slightly) homo-erotic walkpaper that replaces it is somewhat suspect.

But on a serious note, having everyone unlocked from the word go is a no-no for me, I enjoying unlocking shit!!!

Visuals don't work well for me, to me SF4 looked better than SSF4, this one looks slightly washed out and not as colourful.

But thank fuck they fix Seth and a few others, haven't tried the new guys yet so I can't judge. But with that said, it's good to see car and barrel smasher back though I wonder why it wasn't in SF4 to begin with.

Did the demo only just come out in the US?
