Forums - Nintendo Discussion - are there enough wii titles available now to make wii a worthy purchase?

he´s more into action, fps, and rpg games. he is wondering if it is worth for him. he IS kind of interested after he saw red steel 2, but he hated the wii before. so I dont know

Well to be blunt if he likes action (beat 'em up? Third person shooters?) and FPS' there is nothing on the wii that comes close to rivaling those genres on the 360 and PS3. If he likes the look of Red Steel 2 but is used to good AI etc, tell him to wait out for Natal and/or Move & to make a decision from there.

Your friend sounds like a douche. There's tons of good Wii games for any gamer. If he's as 'hardcore' as he says he is, he shouldn't have any problem finding games by himself.

8th gen predictions. (made early 2014)
PS4: 60-65m
WiiU: 30-35m
X1: 30-35m
3DS: 80-85m

Aside from Muramasa and Mario Galaxy.

But does you're friend already own a console? Because if he already own's a X360/PS3 and is looking to expand then it's a different situation then if he doesn't.

he has a ps3. his favorite game is gow3

The Wii has the most variety. If he wants to try 1 or 2 games from 10 or 20 different genres, tell him to get a Wii. If he's all about third-person hack-and-slash or fighters, he should pick a different console, if he's all about FPS and RTS and online gaming and modding, he should go with PC, and if he's all about RPGs, he should pick a DS.

Wii dominates 2-D platformers, 3-D platformers, sports games, and party games, so it's the best system if you ever want to play games with girls. It's also great for drinking games. But the Wii library's strongest points are probably its variety, its several cheap niche games, and its ridiculous collection of classics on the Virtual Console.

Oh and if he's really so ultra hardcore that he thinks Mario's gay, he should get a Wii for the most badass super-manly ultra-violent murder simulators in the world. Wii has Manhunt 2, MadWorld, No More Heroes, and No More Heroes 2. Those games are so disgusting I have to play other Wii games like Muscle March and Captain Rainbow to calm down afterwards.

Then i guess a Wii could be an option, definitely if he likes some local multiplayer fun.

yes their are plenty of games that he would like. right now i am enjoying monster hunter 3 i believe i will be playing this game for a long time. of course u got mario and zelda nough said
