Okay Teddiura is a bad example

My point that trying to derive features based on silhouette isn't the greatest idea you can have

You're deriving features based on silhouettes as well xD

At least I'm trying to give a plausible explanation to mine. I don't discard the middle one as being Water capable too, as I said, another Water pokemon had that characteristic already (the bubble at the tip of the tail).

I just don't find any logical, discerning pattern on the right silhouette that points to it being anything close to a Fire starter.

That logic would be better applied for a Grass starter. Traditionally, Grass starters have had big heads and bulky bodies. As for Fire starters, they have had more streamlined body types, although Torchic also had a huge head for it's small body, while Chimchar restored the streamlined body type.

Plus, all the silhouettes have big heads in comparison to their bodies, so that isn't quite the discerning factor.

I am saying a silly thing to no particular end.

Odds are, in order, its Water, Grass, Fire... that's my bet.

I'm crossing my fingers (like a dumb person) that they made a new type, "Space" type, and in order the starters would be-

Fighting, Psychic, Space

Psychic > Fighting, Fighting > Space, Space > Psychic

I only say that cause the last one looks like it has a space helmet.

I can dream.

The one on the left looks interesting and so far my fav and the one on the top better not be some Turtwig lookalike.

If they are keeping with the traditional starter types, then it is almost definitely Fire-Grass-Water like some have already said. The explanation is simple:

First, the middle has leaf type things on its head. I don't see what else that could be. Its almost for sure grass.

Second, the one on the right looks like he has a platypus tail.

Third, The one on the left does not look like he has swimming feet, so therefore can't be a water type.

So, yeah, Fire-Grass-Water. But it would be more fun to mix it up, in my opinion. Make it Bug - Electric - Rock or something like that.

Here's an artist's interpretation of the different silhouettes. If the water type looks any thing like the one shown then I might have a new favorite Pokemon. That thing is adorable.

If that's how the Water Pokemon really looks... there would be no way for me not to pick it... I mean really?  That thing is simply irresistible
