I think u are being a little paranaoid, look, symbols are everywhere they're part of magic but everything I believe has it's "scientific" explanation, so symbols are associations that evoques states of mind, desires, etc. "magic" started when the hunters in africa maybe hunted animals they tattoed they're bodies and made deformation to "transform" in hunters taking characteristics from another animals, so many of those things have to do with the unconscious mind!! I was playing FF13 and it has many symbols too those are magic symbols that summon entities that help you!! and AC plot about illuminati and stuff it's just to sell is a plot that many people buy the game cause of that and some people get paranoid about it!!!. and yes there are some "groups of power" that gather to do magic rituals and use symbols, stuff that involves the unconscious mind , anyway magic rituals are stuff u do in ur life that activate states of mind and desires, even when u go to church! u do magic rituals there's bread that turns into a body , wine into blood!!. religious groups have their "powerful" symbols , like a cross!! for example cristian groups use satan, for me satan is a symbol that involves fear!! and they use satan for their service!!! like hey believe in my religion if not u go to hell!! what!!??
fear a mechanism that was put to evolution to protect our asses from other predators, so fear is not that bad at all of course in the right context!!.
